1) It would appear to be utter fantasy that a) the Russians gained control of any Uranium - that any left the country at all; and b) even if a) is incorrect, which I think nothing beyond Breitbart and Fox fantasies supports, Hillary did not approve the transaction. No factual connection between contributions to her foundation and illegal transfers of Uranium has been uncovered.

Hill and Bill have one thing in common with the Orange One - love of conflicts of interest. The Clinton Fdn while serving as Secy of State is a doozy. It begs for political bullsit like this. That's why in so many aspects of life, the idea is to avoid both the fact and the appearance of a conflict of interest. So I for one won't go into mourning if Hill finds herself under investigation.

But there is a much bigger concern, which is this banana republic use of law enforcement by a president to attack political opponents. The tolerance among "law and order repubs" for Justice Dept action based on Twitter rantings of a pres who campaigned on "lock her up". The implications of that are staggering.

If the Trump Admin actually had a basis to request a special prosecutor, there are channels designed to handle that in a way that minimizes this banana republic style dictator shit. How can "conservatives" stand for this obvious conflict?

I do give Sessions credit - yesterday, he looked like a guy who's senior investigators had already concluded that no factual basis for a special prosecutor exists. Already knew what Shep was trying to summarize. And tried to remind his repub colleagues that we are a nation of laws.

Amazingly, "conservatives" need to be reminded of that.
